Ready for North Winds. AZ Trails. Sales Ads.

Another day that started out cool, but soon the cats were sunning themselves on the screen porch, watching the birds at the feeders.

There was a hilarious birthday party for Nat in the RV-Dreams Chat Room last night, and even the 'Chip and Dales' showed up!

This morning, Ray and I got my attic prepared for the cold winter northerly winds that hit the back of this house on a hill. All my plumbing is up there, so I try to keep it buffered. We screwed board insulation under the attic vents inside the roof, and on the outside soffit vents. The attic can breathe from the south until next Spring. That also helps keep the dog room warm, as the attic stairs are in there.

The motorhome needed sorting out, as I had taken a lot of things out of it to go on the trip to Arkansas to get the Mirage. When I unpacked the Mirage, the stuff was put in boxes in there, so those had to be unpacked. As I am going through all the cupboards to sort them out, it isn't done yet. Too many dishes, etc. The spice rack needed a little sliver cut off the side, as for some reason the coffee maker wouldn't fit in the corner next to it. We saw several other things that need attention, too. Like, one cupboard won't shut right.

If you are looking for something specific, here is a site that has the weekly sales: http://www.salescircular.com/

So many RVers are headed for AZ right now, that I though this might interest you: http://www.aztrail.org/

More airline quotes:

From a Southwest Airlines employee: "Welcome aboard Southwest Flight 2 to DAL. To operate your seat belt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seat belt; and, if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised."

In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with more than one small child pick your favorite.

Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but we'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Southwest Airlines."

"Your seat cushions can be used for flotation; and, in the event of an emergency water landing, please paddle to shore and take them with our compliments."

"Should the cabin lose pressure, oxygen masks will drop down from the overhead area. Please place the bag over your own mouth and nose before assisting children...or other adults acting like children."

"As you exit the plane, make sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses."

It started to rain, and will tomorrow, that is why I start the yard sale today.

Great blog today, Penny, starting with the Chippendales! The airline announcements are hilarious. And as usual, you are simply amazing with all the work you get done!

A program on TV today said some airlines were charging you to use the bathroom. If the airlines made those announcements they would make lots of extra money. Everyone would have to pay from laughing so much and need to - go.
