Happy Thanksgiving, Canada. Filling RVport.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians who celebrate it today.
"Don't assume you're always going to be understood. I wrote in a column that one should put a cup of liquid in the cavity of a turkey when roasting it. Someone wrote me that: "The turkey tasted great, but the plastic cup melted." – Heloise.

The things that are still on the "To Do List", are all things that would hurt Ray's back, except for painting the cross fences in the back yard. But rain was forecast, so we put that off till Wednesday. I picked up Jay, and as we were walking around the front of the garage, there was one job that I realized had not been put on the list. We both nearly slipped and fell on our derrieres.

In front of the garage/workshop are big green plastic grids, like the ones that were used around swimming pools. That is covered with blue indoor/outdoor carpet, so that the animals won't get their feet caught in the slats. This is great for anything that has to be washed, as the water just goes through, and you don't get your feet wet. In front of it is a lighter blue indoor/outdoor carpet so that there isn't mud. This has been there since 2001, and it works very well. But over the years algae had formed on the light blue carpet, and it had become slippery.

So Ray pressure washed that, while Jay and I tackled the RVport.

Jay and I found the parts to the yard sale clothes rack, and got it set up. Those windows behind it, were going to be installed in the work shop, but I decided to sell them. Then we got all the tables unfolded and set up. Even moved some stuff on to door slabs on milk crates along the fence side, so that had to be covered up with heavy, black plastic, because of the rain. On the other side of the RVport, the dry side, we lined up all the furniture that is for sale.

On another day, we can start getting the boxes down from the storeroom attic and get them on the tables. The tables aren't spread out yet, as I still need to get the van and Puddle Jumper (tiny station wagon) in there for now.

So it has been a busy day.

See you are having rain too. We haven't seen many nice days here in N.C. Trying to paint my large front porch. Cool cloudy days with rain showers off and on. Rain just seems to hang in the air. Today rain in the 60's Tuesday clear 70's sun (yea)Wednesday may rain hit 50 with nights in the 40's. I love your large carports a place to do some of those jobs you can't do inside.
